Please contact us ›We can take 12 passengers at a time in the fast water taxi and the MSTX 21. In the classic taxi, the maximum is eight. The rules are very strict. Even a baby carried in a sling counts as one full passenger.
You can pay beforehand by using the Watertaxi app. On board you can pay using pin or credit card.
Companies that use our services regularly can pay on account. Just send a recent extract from the Chamber of Commerce to secretariaat@watertaxirotterdam.nl asking us to register your company as a client. We also sell vouchers, which can be used to pay for taxi rides. If you buy 100 or more vouchers, you will receive a 10% discount. To order vouchers, please contact secretariaat@watertaxirotterdam.nl.

You can cancel your booking free of charge until 15 minutes before the start of your trip.
Our water taxis are accessible for folding wheelchairs and buggies. It is important for people with physical impairments to know that you have to go down two small steps when boarding the boat. If you are not able to fold your wheelchair, you can still make use of the services of Watertaxi Rotterdam. Please make a request by sending an email to info@watertaxirotterdam.nl, you will be contacted to discuss the possibilities.
Yes. Bringing a bike is allowed, at your own risk, on the following ferry services: Charloisse Hoofd - Katendrechtse Hoofd and Piekstraat – Plantagelaan. On the RDM/Heijplaat - Marconistraat/M4H service bringing a bike is allowed only during morning and evening peak hours. See veerdienst afvaarttijden
Yes, that's allowed. All dogs, large or small, travel free.
You need to have a professional navigation licence, which you can obtain by working in the professional shipping sector. You also require a marine telephone operator's certificate. In case of extreme weather conditions (very heavy storm, ice, etc.), we may decide to stop our services. On our website we state when this is the case. In case of dense fog, only our ferry services sail, these are equipped with a radar installation.
Beginning 1.5 hours before Feyenoord matches a shuttle service runs on 2 routes. Between Rivium (stop 15) and Feyenoord (stop 10), and between Plantagelaan (stop 21) en Feyenoord (stop 10). The service runs until 1 hour after the match. A single journey ticket costs €4,- and you can pay on board by PIN or card.
