About us

Watertaxi Rotterdam provides all public transport by water in Rotterdam and Schiedam. On request, our skippers can take you to 50 different stops in our operating area. In addition we operate multiple permanent ferry services in the Rotterdam region.

This way you travel much faster and more comfortably to your destination every (working) day than by road. Our transport network is unique in Europe. It is used every year by 700,000 Rotterdammers and domestic and foreign visitors. You can also book the water taxis for boat trips and special events.

    The skippers

Our water taxis are manned by skippers from the Schippers Centrale Rotterdam. Many of them also work on tugs, barges and patrol boats and are therefore fully qualified to navigate on the Nieuwe Maas, one of the world’s busiest rivers.

On Onderstroom, you can meet some of our water taxi skippers.

    The Watertaxi office
